Three Wine Men Cracking Christmas
We are big fans of The Three Wine Men; otherwise known as Oz Clarke, Tim Atkin MW and Olly Smith and were excited to be invited back to present Cap Classique at their London Christmas bonanza. There is never a dull moment with these three, and their passion for Cap Classique almost rivals ours.
These events are not for the faint hearted. With over 1500 attendees and 200+ wines (plus gins) available for tasting, its always great fun to meet the crowd and see everyone progress from sober wine connoisseurs into slightly more lubricated and highly enthusiastic wine drinkers.
In particular, we love the opportunity to share our passion for Cap Classique. Not only do we promise rather large tasting measures, but also the story behind each wine. From the passionate husband, wife and dog team at Silverthorn, to the use of turnips to turn soil between the vines, and the story of how Pinotage came to be - expect to leave us well watered and with interesting facts to impress your friends.
We love that our stand is always surrounded by people keen to hear more (and probably taste more!) about Cap Classique. We were proud to represent a variety of farms and grapes which showed great diversity but also quality in what we were showcasing for the category.
The vast range of products on the table worked extremely well together in comparing different grapes, different styles, different regions and differing maturation periods which offered a nice journey in tastings for everyone attending.
A big thank you to Tim Atkins, Oz Clarke and Olly Smith for making us feel really welcome and being so engaged in what was on offer. We look forward to the next Three Wine Men event!
